Meet Lucy, Studio Assistant here at Studio Melrose. Like everyone here, they are allowed to make their schedule based on their passions, interests and priorities. For some it’s family, for others it perfect weather days (dumping snow or too sunny to stay indoors), for Lucy it’s activism especially when it comes to the environment.

“Raised in the forest outside city limits, the trees of New York beckon in their own way. Currently East River Park in lower Manhattan is being recklessly demolished. Despite continued community resistance and protest, @eileen.myles the city is moves forward with a coastal resiliency plan that entails turning one thousand trees into wood chips as the heat of summer sets in. Community gather everyday at 1pm inside the park.
